Crunch Amp Question

ok this may be a stupid question or im just to dumb to relize the answer to it, but on my buddies crunch 1500.1 mono amp, there are 2 sets of speaker outputs, if its a mono amp why are there two sets :blink: ? can anybody explain this to me?

for easier wiring, they are actually paralleled inside the amp :)

Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-P6000UB

Sub Amp:American Bass VFL 500.1

Subs: 4 Fi BL 18's

Enclosure:21.5 Cubic foot flat wall tuned to 40 hz

Batteries: 3 Kinetik 2400's in the back, Kinetik 1200 under hood.

Mids & Highs: 4 Kicker DS 6.5 coax in doors, 2 Kicker DS coax in pillars

Highs Amp: Kicker kx250.2, kx100.2

Wire: 4 Runs 1/0 gauge Knukonceptz

and one more quetion, a bit off topic but if i have two subs wired for 1 ohm each and i bridge it at the amp does that give me a 1 ohm load on the amp or a .5 ohm load?

if each subs is 1 ohm.... and you wire them in parallel then the amp will see .5 (not good for your amp)

ok thats what i thought, so i should leave the subs wired at 4 ohms each and bridge it at the amp and it should give me a 2 ohm load, or is there any way i can run two dual 4 ohm coil subs at 1 ohm on a mono amp?

pos to pos/neg to neg per sub...then pos to pos/neg to neg at the amp...1ohm

the best thing to do, is look at the diagram i linked...that will show you your options.
