BobOnAir Posted May 12, 2016 Report Posted May 12, 2016 Hey guys. Just picked up 2 DC 8 inch subs,,,, the older ones that can be in a sealed box. I am putting them in a Chevy Blazer and running a Kicker 1000.1 I believe they are dual 2 olms so I would be running the amp at 2 olm. Which would be louder, more bass? sealr or ported? Could someone recommend sub box dimensions and port size if ported? I believe that they can run .35 sealed but I want as much as I can get out of them. Thanks very much.

BobOnAir Posted May 12, 2016 Author Report Posted May 12, 2016 Sounds good. I will post some pics of the subs later on and the dimensions of the Blazer. There are no model numbers on the subs themselves, just that they are the older ones that were able to be sealed.

Depth could be up to 13 inches,,, but I think that is plenty for these 8 inch. As you can see there are no markings on the sub to indicate what model they are.

Kicker on right the spider is breaking... so just going to go better with the DC. I know I should be getting bigger subs for this truck but I only have so much cash right now, so the 8's will have to do. I'm sure they will put out some good bass for the size of them.
