Loud_Low_SuperSlowed
I have always used "Rca-3.5mm" the 3.5 from iphone straight to the rca of the back of the amp. I am wondering since the amp's lowest signal gain level is 2volts and ive read that an iphone's signal is 1volt. i turn iphone up to 3/4 way or 14 clicks up and i cant get passed half way on the gain of my amp without having clipping. Is this because of the signal difference? and also another question. Have i never been getting full output out of my amp? and if so how can i fix this
Vice03
Don't worry about where the gain dial on your amp is - set it so it's not clipping.
Loud_Low_SuperSlowed
Yes i do set it where there is no clipping. Would a rca line driver imrpove amp output in my situation?
Vice03
So long as your amp isn't already maxed out and still too quiet and you aren't getting noise, the line driver would just make you turn the gain down more.
