I have a Mechman 240a Alternator on its way in the next few weeks. 240a is the biggest that would fit my engine and still produce at idle apparently.

I also would like to say that I purchased this truck and the audio system inside from a good friend of mine. So what I'm doing is re doing it, to make it my own, and update to newer products(if need be). As well as trying to teach myself about electrical, car audio, custom fabrication, and anything else like that.

Any more information or input will be appreciated. I'm only trying to learn to do things correctly and cleanly.

Honestly, if does fine to you right now, just go ahead and upgrade things one at a time. You would rather buy one piece at a time that is high quality than everything at once and it be low quality (in most cases, good quality come at a price). Try that alt. out and see how that works for you. Then maybe get another really good battery and see from there. Like I said, just get good stuff for the time being. You can't have too much power but you definitely can have too little power. When you think you have enough, upgrade it one or two more times that way if you want to upgrade your amps/drivers in the future it won't be such a power difference. Headroom is your best friend.
