noser7 Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 I am getting around to the designing of the box. I was shooting for 1.5 sealed each sub, I will have 2 12" fi audio n2's. On the ported side it will be 6 cuft. After subs and bracing. I just don't know what to do with port. I read you want half area of both subs together as well as 12-16 cubic iinches per cuft of box. Help anybody gracias

I don't plan on blasting bass all day ima have a knob to turn it down and let the highs take over ? Ima be running a soundstream xxx 6500 at 14v so like 4k watts? Hopefully haa
Triticum Agricolam Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 Ok, so the N2 really isn't going to work well in a 4th order bandpass. There is a reason its intended for ported use only. You are going to get a really peaky one note wonder. If you are determined to put them in a 4th order bandpass anyway, I would use no less than 120 sq in of port area. I'd be happy to help ya with a 6th order design, but I don't feel like I have a good enough understanding of them to be comfortable giving designs to people. There are some other folks on here that do have good results designing them though and my be able to help you.
