mmpannekake Posted September 23, 2016 Report Share Posted September 23, 2016 Im looking for some advice how to lower the tuning of my build, its not really a 6th but the way its put in my car it acts like a 6th so despite that my box is tuned to 32hz i peak at over 50hz and wont play much under 30hz it pretty much dies out. heres a picture to show how it acts like a 6th orderits sealed of in the back so all the air is moving forward and the armrest hole/skihatch is acting like the port of the second chamber, moving the box back to give more air for the second chamber is not an option. the thing im wondering is to tune this lower do i have to change to port size of the second chamber? since the box is already tuned at 32hz? ive never had anything to do with bandpass boxes so i dont know how to handle this, i like the output i have at 40-50hz now and it suits alot of the music i play but i would like to get some more output down to like 28-30hz atleast because now its just the sound of the subs moving at that hz and you can barerly feel the air movement...
