steveb Posted December 31, 2016 Report Posted December 31, 2016 My car is a 2001 Mercedes E class. Current setup is a set of infinity perfect 6.1 in the front door powered by a zapco amp. Rear doors are empty. The trunk is sealed off from the cabin and my plan was to use an MX-15 in a sealed box facing the rear seat. Today I removed all the trunk panels and the gas tank is between the rear seat and the trunk. There are 4 6in round holes in the rear deck lid. What are my best options to get some base into the cabin? Maybe 2 free air 8in subs in the rear deck if I modified the deck. I currently don't have an amp and not against buying a different sub or subs. Steve
steveb Posted January 2, 2017 Author Report Posted January 2, 2017 Looks like an IB setup is going to be best. Just picked up a pair of 12in Boston Acoustics. Going to power them with a Zapco st-850 Going to order some sound deadening and start my install this weekend. Any advice or tips will be greatly appreciated. Steve
neuspeedescort Posted January 2, 2017 Report Posted January 2, 2017 you could always do a 4th order and put the ports to those holes in the rear deck. that is if its possible to reach them with a proper port.
