carsontinsley
So i just got an American Bass Xfl1044. It's a 10" sub and i have 2 of them as of now. They're rated 2000 watts max and some people say they can take 1500 easy. My plan is to run them off an American Bass Phantom 4000. It's 4000 max so it's undoubtedly going to draw juice. Im running 4 gauge when i get it and doing the big three. My car is a 2000 cherokee xj if that gives anyone an idea what kind of power im making. Right now a single one is run off a brutus 1100 and no lights dim or anything. Just not sure if i should get a battery or alternator.
8ten8
Grab yourself a volt meter and wire it to the mono block. Watch to see what your voltage does, then make the decision between HO alt or batts. If it were me and I kept getting into the low 12's and 11's, I would save for the alt. You could purchase more batts instead but prolly have to charge them once a week...kind of redundant. 4awg?, I would do 0 or larger. Don't bother with max, RMS only
