kentb
i asked my local dealer here and they say that running a negative wire from the yellowtop(hood) and the kinetik(back) will have a minimal effect, so he said he won't put one. By the "frame" he means chassis. That's the best ground I can think of
lance_aka_64
hmm... copper vs steel? i pick copper. if you have the money that is. copper conducts electricity way better than steel. yea it will work but not as good as it can. look at all of the big dawgs on here. they all have at least a pos and neg running to the back. just my .02 Quote Need any thing chromed? missinglink
This may be a stupid question but what is your factory ground from the battery up front connected to. Some where on your car copper will have to touch steal for a ground right. I may be wrong. Quote missinglinkaudio The United States Marine Corps. Some people don't look to see where their factory ground is connected to. IMO, ground is ground is ground is ground. as long as you upgrade the stock wiring there's no need to run a wire all the way from the front battery to the back battery. Grounding to the chassis will work, but depending on the current draw, a copper 0 gauge cable could be a better conductor. Unless you are competing, I wouldn't worry about it. BTW, it is OK to mix battery types, and it won't be any harder on the alternator than adding an extra battery of any other type.
