Good morning everyone, I just got my VM-1 installed so far love it! But I have a few questions right now it is wired to the radio power until I get my battery bank installed. Is it normal to see between a .5v and 1.4v difference in voltage on the dash wires over direct at the battery?  If I am actually seeing this sort of voltage difference should I wire the radio direct to the battery also?

Wire your Volt Meter to your sub amp (if you have one). Your biggest draw is what you need to monitor. If I had two VM's, I'd have one wired to underhood batt and one to amp. Don't need to monitor H.U. voltage imop.

I have 4 kinetik HC2400's and 2 mechman 320a alts coming once I get everything installed I planned on wiring the VM-1 to the bank of batts. But I wanted to test the meter out didn't expect such a big volt drop from front batt to the dash voltage. Wonder if there is some kind of voltage step down from the computer in the dash.
