So its a 2011 Heat with 4.0L V6

Here's the headunit a DDX9903S

 

So i put it in with butt connectors at first but had a lose one 

 

SO i did a solder and tesa tape h

It had a factory Infinity sub woofer but I wanted more bass so tried putting the a shallow mount Pioneer 8"

Turns out that factory amp is like 16-OHM  And only 23 watts,  So i got an amp.

Pick up a unused Scosche EFX 300c4 for cheap from a buddy.  

 

Got it installed, and almost directly blew out that Pioneer 8"(turns out they're not that well made),  And upgraded it to a 8" Rockford Fosgate P3.  

 Which was being choked by the factory location enclosure so i put it in a sealed box.

And so then...

I figured if i have to have a box taking up space I might as well put in some 10" Kickers in a ported box.  Now I'm not much of a carpenter so I got a Sound Ordnance box.

Here's how i ran the wires for the back up camera add on,  yes both pos and neg are red. Trying to use the factory spot with an aftermarket sub.

 Orginally used crimps for the wire install

Zip tied up the fuse holder.

And hauled some mattresses

 Upgrade the Big 3 to 1/0

Secured the fuse holder

I did 4 Rockford P2 10s ported in a older nitro with the grey plastic everywhere. On a Rockford T1500. Man that was an awesome setup. 

How are you liking the subs aimed to the front? Never worked well for me in an sub

I've been thinking about turning then around or firing them up.

I turned them around to today, and they sound a lot better then they did even at lower volume.  I was worried about damaging the cone so i had them up against the seat.  I'm stoked you said something.

If your worried about damage, just buy the kicker grills for them. Also I highly recommend a new box. Those prefab ported boxes are horrible compared to a proper designed and built box.
