WinISD any good??

Anyone use WinISD or can recommend a good free program to design enclosures and graph out frequency response? This is all new to me and I'm trying to get an idea and understanding of what all the different specs mean to help me choose my future build. I thought playing around with a program like this might help or maybe someone can point me in the direction of some good reading for a noob wanting to learn. All my searches seem to land me in the middle of debate threads. I want to be able to base my builds from my own knowledge and not others opinions. Like with WinISD I can choose a sub or manually put in the specs and choose my enclosure but one thing I don't understand is how do I go about figuring out what a subwoofer is actually capable of playing compared to the graph I'm seeing? Any help is appreciated, thanks guys.

WinISD is good, as long as you understand the limitations of any modeling software. It doesn’t account for cabin gain and that is going to change your frequency response significantly. There is a way to roughly approximately cabin gain though.
