movepage
Hi, i am new to the channel, and probably this has been posted already, but I am doing a audio installation on a Mercedes 190 from 1993, and in this car the trunk is separated by a metal plate that goes from side to side. Behind this metal plate on the trunk is located the gas tank. My question is should I fully cover the metal plate with sound deadening material or just 2 or 3 bits. also is there any tips on how I can improve the sub performance on this car (I am using a P2D4-10 on a ported box) ? many thanks Fil ————————————————————————————————————— HU - Alpine - CDA-9887R Changer - Alpine - CHA-S624 Amp - RF - R600x5 Front Speakers - RF - P165-SI + Alpine SPG-10C2 Rear Speakers - RF - P1650 Sub - RF - P2D4-10 on Vented Box
Kraken
Deaden everything you can. It makes a hell of a difference. Also for sub performance, try different box positions, its free and sometimes can gain some db's. Kraken
Sweet. You can also try opening the front windows, rear windows, different doors open to see what sounds the loudest. On my truck, both windows being open is the loudest. if your box has room, try turning it different ways, like the sub facing up, facing the rear, facing front.
