Hey Joe x, you recommend this enclosure a few years ago. I was hoping you could help me out. I have the same subs (sa 12s d4) on an audio pipe 1800. I'm on stock electrical though, so I doubt I'm getting more than 500 Watts per sub. I feel like this enclosure would work well, but I have more height than depth. So I was wondering if you could come up with something 22h*35w*14.5d still tuned to about 34hz. Ideally I want the subs down port back with the sides extend to give me about two inches of clearance on the bottom It could be a little taller or deeper since I'm going to be underpowering them so 4cu ft would be better I think. I obviously don't really know so any and all in put would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for any help or insight.
DiBo Posted August 25, 2018 Report Posted August 25, 2018 You're looking to down-fire the woofers? I can come up with an enclosure for you. Lmk
Jb19 Posted August 25, 2018 Author Report Posted August 25, 2018 Yeah that would be awesome. I'm sorry I directed that towards Joe x because he came up with the original thing but I'm not opposed to anyone else's opinion, advice or design. Just hopefully I can get get something today because I was hoping to build it this weekend.
Jb19 Posted August 26, 2018 Author Report Posted August 26, 2018 Looks like it won't be a weekend project after all. Still, I'd appreciate any help

I'll try to have some numbers for you tonight.
DiBo Posted August 28, 2018 Report Posted August 28, 2018 22.5x35x15.25(main part without sides extended) Port 20x3x26 Double bottom layer Center port 4.05ft³ @ 34hz
Jb19 Posted August 29, 2018 Author Report Posted August 29, 2018 Cool man thank you! So I just follow the design with your dimensions, making my port 12.25 towards the back and 13.75 to the sides? And I get the 45s but is the triangle at the back of the port necessary?
DiBo Posted August 29, 2018 Report Posted August 29, 2018 1.5 off the back wall split in both directions so... 13". Then 9.25 to the left side and right side. Physical Port length is 22.25. as far as the piece in the back... Up to you. Seems redundant imo. Nothing wrong with that tho in this hobby
Jb19 Posted August 29, 2018 Author Report Posted August 29, 2018 I'm all for redundancy, if I can get it right I'll probably throw it in. You had the port listed as 20 tall x3 wide x26 long , but it only needs to be 22.25 long?
