SMT Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 https://www.dewalt.com/products/power-tools/routers-planers-and-joiners/routers/114-hp-max-torque-variable-speed-compact-router-with-leds/dwp611 I bought this router and have yet to even use it few weeks ago for a unrelated project and can't find the receipt or box to swap at the store for a larger router if needed so if you all tell me this little guy won't work for this job I may have to buy a larger second router with a 1/2" shank. project is to cut 7 rings of 3/4" MDF 12.875" outside and 11.25" inside. making my own circle jig out of 1/8" polycarbonate. Will my small router work? any advice on best bit? best speed? how many passes for 3/4" ? thanks
ckeeler11 Posted August 30, 2018 Report Posted August 30, 2018 Yea it should work. Just because its compact does not mean it can only do small jobs. it has a 1.25 hp motor so it has some oomph
