ported box for 15'' subwoofer

Recommended Posts

I need help on Box size. I just bought 2 Sundown sa 15 D4 and need a box. I want it tuned to 32 Hertz. The space I have to put it in is 42.5 width x 24'' depth x 32'' High. Does anyone have any specs or help how to get it to 32 Hertz

42Wx20Hx22d ¾ material

Port 17.75Hx5Wx24L

2X top baffles

.34 woofer displacement

2 common port walls

6.80ft³ @32.04hz

After 45° pieces in corners and bracing you'll be around 6.5ft³ tuning will go up slightly to around 32.5 if you use about .20ft³ bracing. Make the 45° pieces small. 2" wide if possible to minimize airspace loss. The subs perform well at around 3.25 feet cubed. Enclosure will look exactly like the one you posted with all these numbers. Try to use Baltic Birch for a stronger enclosure requiring less bracing.

Thank You so much. I did build one at 35hz waiting on subs to come in. Looks like im going to build another box.  Should I still put double face? I used MDF board.

Slap another baffle up top and you're in business! Post your numbers also. I'll check it out.
