What amp should I use?

I have 2 American bass 600 watt 12s that I want to run in a 2005 mercury mountaineer, and I'm not sure what amp to use. I had them running on a pyramid 1200.2 and that blew out, and I had a kicker l7 12 qured to 4 ohm that I was told has the same power requirement running on a SSL 4000.1 which also blew out. What Amp would be recommended to run the 2 American bass. The cheapest working option would be best.

When you get your new amp make sure to tune it correctly or have someone that knows what they're doing tune it. Clipping and low voltage can be a death sentence for amplifiers. The two you named aren't particularly quality amplifiers so they could've just been duds. 

Anywho, a nice Rockford fosgate prime 1200.1 would be good. Orion XTR 1500.1 also. Skar makes some decent budget amplifiers as well as soundqubed, Wolfram, and audio pipe for budget choices. Pick one that fits your needs.
