Dante Romeo
So I just got into car audio and had an 8" for a while but now i want to upgrade to two tens, Im contemplating either the Skar DDX-10 or the EVL-10. Theyre both rated at the same rms but the ddx has a heavier motor than the evl but Im hearing that the evl can handle more power. Im looking for some nice lows and not too much excursion. What should I get?
Phaeton
The EVL-10's have a 3" coil compared to the DDX's 2.5", they might be able to handle more abuse. Motor weight isnt everything too. What kind of box are you going to put them in? maybe mess around with a few designs and use the specifications of each and find what you would want to build/can fit? Both of them are pretty comparable in prices too 1997 subaru legacy outback Four 15's in a almost wall Rockford Fosgate t2500-1bdcp Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on tweets Rockford Fosgate T400-4 on highs Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midrange Rockford Fosgate T400-2 on midbass Optima Yellow top batteries 270A Singer alt (working on a bracket for a second) Lots of Second Skin
Dante Romeo
Yeah I was looking at the coil specs but I'm just looking to add some bass to my Ford Ranger so I'm probably gonna just throw two of the DDX-10s in a ported enclosure since they're just a little bit cheaper. Which websites could i use to check out some box designs. Thanks in advance.
