I just installed a JL 1200/1v3 that I have owned for a while with two Alpine Type R shallow 12s in a sealed box at .7 cubic feet per sub. It sounds good but it's a little underwhelming coming from two 12W6's in a ported box in my old Expedition. Would three or four high output eights get a little more low bass than the shallow 12s? I have been looking at Savard HiQ 8s and four would work in the 2 cubic feet that I have to work with. Thanks in advance.

I'm running 2 f8ls 8s in a ported box under my back seat and they easily blow away the single 12w6v2 I had in there for about a month.
