Ok so here is everything I hav e ordered for my system. I have to wait to set it up but I want to get it all figured out before I start.

I have 4 "15 Lanzar max subs. 2 of the 4000w Lanzar vibe amps (supposed to be 1000w RMS per channel)

A 10 Farad Lanzar opti capacitor 4 gauge wiring

Stinger 1800 series Yellow top Battery

4 6 and 1/2" kicker KS60's rated at 260w per pair

1 500w 4channel kicker amp

and 3 sets of lanzar tweeters.

All powered by a pioneer HU (not sure of the model number.

I know I have to do the big 3 before I do anything else but I want people to tell me the best way to set all this up. I

have a box but it isnt big enough so I am going to have to build another one when i get back home. I would for you all to suggest speaker wire size, power guage, box size, ported or sealed, order to wire the amps as well as the cap and batteries. This is going to be a big project I believe. It is for me at least as all I have ever used before now is dual 12's. This is all going into a 96' Toyota 4runner.

Let me get anything you have to suggest guys. I don't have alot of experience in this area so I am eager to learn.

Also just for fun if anyone hase ever had any experience with these Lanzar maxes I would like to hear what you thought about them.

I hope this thread gets a lot of hits lol

Thats a big list of stuff.

Rite off the batt When you do the Big 3, use all 0/1 gauge wire.

Make sure you use 0/1 from the front of the vehicle to the back to where your distribution piont is and possibly 2 runs of it.

The smallest speaker wire for your subs would be 10 gauge. If those Lanzar amps can really make that much power use 8 gauge.

What is the fuse rating on the Lanzar amps?

I would change that battery, I would go with the Stinger Power2 series instead of the yellow ones. If you will really have close to 6,000 watts or 8,000 watts you are going to need to drop alot of money into your electrical system.

You need a High output altenator or 2, plus multiple batteries.

You need to do alot of work to your electrical system first. If you can't afford to do that first you should look at just running just 1 amp untill you can afford it.

is this the amp, if so your not going to have to upgrade much.

I don't feel its possible for it to produce much power.

You know I completely agree. I don't believe these amps produce near the power they claim to. however, this is the system that my budget would allow for so I am still gonna try to get the best sound out of it that I can. I would be interested to know how much power IS actually running from this system. I am really quite clueless in the area of advanced wiring and the way that all the parts interact with each other.

Also you said about running wire to and from the distribution block. Where do you suggest I place that?

I need fuse ratings on everything?

In theory you want to keep all of your power wire as short as possible.

The first thing you want to do is a layout.

Go stare at the inside of the truck for awhile.

Start thinking about where you want everything.

Figure out were your subwoofer box is going, then physically put the amps were they go.

Those are your 2 biggest physical items.

Now that you actually have them sitting in the places they belong.

Now you start to figure out how you would like to run your wire.

If your unexperienced its hard to see all of this in your head.

I'am more of a hands on person. I need to see everything in person to really be a big help to you.

Hopefully I have givin you a starting piont.

I believe the fuses on the amps are 40 and as far as everything else I am not sure.

You have been very helpful in your suggestions.

Like I have said before I am here to learn more than anything. I am in Iraq right now and I miss messing with stereo systems. This is all I got right now.

Whats the biggest power wire that amp can take? cause imo u should just run a reducer in stead of a dist. block

grab u a HO Alt. and a good batt up front and 1 to 2 in the back should handle 4000wrms if thats a true rating.

2000 Chevy Blazer

ALT. - Mechman 270amp

DECK - Pioneer DEH-P4000UB

INTERIOR - Infinity Reference 6020cs

INT. AMP - RF P400-4

SUBS - 2 15" RF Punch P3s

SUB AMP - RF T1000-1bd

REAR BATT. - Stinger SPP1200

Just a lil sum sum to get me back in the game!!

The amp will handle up to 4 gauge wire. I belive the amps actually ony push about 1000w rms per channel. 4000w is the max rating. I don't know how reliable the ratings that are sent with the Lanzar equipment. Hopefully it is close though.

We need to figure out this fuse thing.

Let me give you an idea.

The average fuse rating on a 1,000 watt amp is 100 amps.

Thats on average that fuse rating can vary 10 to 20 amps depending on the manufacture.

My class D rockford BD1000 takes a 100 amp fuse.

My Kicker ZR1000 class A/B amp witch is 250x2 or brigded 1000x1 takes a 150 amp fuse.

Sundown Audio's SAE-1000D class D amp I belive takes 90 amps worth of fusing.

So there a general idea of how many amps worth of fusing you would need for a 1,000 what amp.

So your in Iraq, Man I really feel for all you guys.

I am sorry that you are there and I feel we have lost a lot of young mens lives for no quality reason.

I wish you the best.
