If the amp is 1200 watts, just because your using all 1200 watts doesn't mean your clipping.

 

The prime 1200bis good for over 1200, I remember Dyno on one it did about 1500 irrc.

 

That amp will push them subs perfectly fine. be as stated above, no need for a ho alt. Big 3 and extra battery will do.

 

But if you need an alt, BRAND X.

 

those eBay ho alts do not put  out amperage

mm ok. from what i know there is 2 "type" of distortion. mecanical ( sub pushed to hard) and signal (poor quality hu or amp) im i right? so if crank up my gain on the amp, i will introduce to much distorsion. And if i feed my sub to much watt, they will over extend. at a cwrtain point
