tmoney09 Posted May 6, 2020 Report Posted May 6, 2020 So current setup is two DC LVL 5 12's, two Sundown SAE 3000's, Limitless 45 ah Lithium, Singer 275 amp alt, dual runs of Sky High 2/0 ofc. The vehicle is a Nissan 370 z. The enclosure in sealed from the hatch subs facing the cabin. I don't have an exact internal volume of the enclosure (too many angles going on) but I'm pretty confident it's between 4.25 - 4.75 cubes before displacement so in torres I just put 4.5 cubes and used a 15 inch port length to get a 30 hz tune. My highest reading from db meter came at 37 hz but I'm not sure that means if my box is tuned there or not. My major question is the port area. I have some pretty noticeable port noise with the single 6 inch. I can't fit an 8 inch because it wont fit in between the subs. So my next option was to try two 6 inch ports (not flared). I'll have to definitely do some external porting so it doesn't kill my airspace but would two 6 inch ports be too much port area. I've had mixed opinions on this but wanted to get the forums input since I feel most here are more experienced. If so I could do three 4 inch ports or maybe just leave it as is. It still gets stupid loud, it did 149.1 on music. I just want to get the most out of the setup as I can if it's possible. I tried using the port area calculator that a member on here had made but according to that calculator two 6 inch ports isn't even remotely close to enough.
