CelestialTree Posted June 7, 2020 Report Posted June 7, 2020 Im planning on redoing my door speakers and adding a Kenwood Excelon XR-W804 to the read deck. I have a 2008 Subaru Legacy 2.5i limited. Since they used that model for a few years there is an area made for a 8' sub cutout on the right side of the rear deck. Ive heard mixed things about air mounting a sub to the deck so im trying to get a better idea. I cant really put a box in the trunk since there isnt much space it would basically make the truck itself useless. Is there a good way to still mount it on the rear deck without losing too much of the bass itself?
YukonXL04 Posted June 10, 2020 Report Posted June 10, 2020 Nope... i mean you can do it. You might have better bass than the 2 6x9s... But i bet your rear deck rattles like crazy. Infinite baffles works great when you have large diameter subs and a sealed off trunk. 18 Sierra 6.2 Z71 : 3 F8L's, DD M2a @.67, 1.95@33 05 TL build log SOLD 04 YukonXL : jvc kw-v51bt , RE 6.5c, 4 jbl gt5 12s, Memphis pr1000.1 5.5 cu.ft. sealed
