Looking to finally get around and upgrade the rest of the system in my car. Here's what I have so far and I thought I'd see if anyone had some opinions.

2003 Buick Regal

Only real design goal is I do not want to modify (i.e. cut/weld) anything except as a last resort. So I'm trying to stick to the factory speaker locations.

Head Unit (already installed)

JVC KD-AVX33

It's been a good head unit. I may replace it for a better video model, but not until the rest of the system is done.

Mids & Highs

Alpine SPR-13S 5-1/4" component speakers with 1" tweeter

Alpine SPR-69C 6x9" for the rear

Sub

Fi 12" Q series

Leaning toward dual 1 to run in series for 2 ohm.

Amps

HIFONICS BRUTUS BXI-1208D (900Wx1 @ 2 ohm)

NEW HIFONICS ZEUS ZXI-6408 (85W x4 @ 4 ohm)

Again, not looking for anything giant. I just want something that sounds great and will get loud if I want. Based upon the system I build back in early 90's these power ratings are about double what I *think* I need to try and make sure they are sufficient.

One question for sure, will a good high output alternator be good for both amps? I have no intention of running the system above 50%, if even that high, for any length of time.

Any feedback is welcome, especially if you provide suggestions/reasons

I don't think an HO alt is completely necessary, since you won't be turning it up loud. I would advise you to get another good battery, though.

All in all, everything seems pretty decent. Do you have any pics of the car? Im really lazy to google

I can see about posting some pics when I get home tonight. I'd say it's just your typical 4 door sedan, though I like it.

New battery is a good idea. The new alternator would also possibly serve the purpose of making the power windows move faster. When I engage a window with the lights on the dim is pretty noticible so I figured it couldn't hurt.

Here's a couple pics. Ya, I probably should re-do the microphone cord instead of having it hang out like it is.. someday I'll get around to it.
