Best ported box for my p3 12s going into a 2016 dodge grand caravan

Hey, Im wondering if anyone out there would know the specks i  should use for my p3 12s in a 2016 dodge caravan? I want some decent flex but dont want to give up my mids and front completely.

Hey kdizzle1980,

 

How many 12s are you putting in?  It looks like Rockford recommends 1.79 cubic feet per sub so a box for 2 subs should be around 3.6 cubic feet.  Fs for those subs is pretty low at 26.5Hz but I would recommend a box tuned a little higher, maybe low to mid 30s.

 

What amplifier are you using to push them?  Those P3s are rated at 600w RMS, so a 1000-1200w RMS amp would make a pair of them pretty happy.

 

As for not drowning out your mids and highs, are they stock or have you upgraded them?  It's going to be easy to overpower your stock mids and highs, especially with two or more 12s.  You might want to look into upgrading and amplifying them as well.
