I have a 08 Tahoe that I want to run a taramps 8000.1 in with 2 massive hippos. But I only want to run them on 2 ohm. I have a mechman 370 alt and 2 xs power d3400 battery’s one being a secondary and the other my main. Would this be a good setup? Any advice or info would be greatly appreciated. sICSoundz Posted January 29, 2023 Report Share Posted January 29, 2023 What model Taramps? You should be pretty well off with that but I would get a supercap bank and watch voltages. I would also offload that amp and do 2 smart 3s. Taramps is fine, I do not much care for the 8k amps from them though. The smart 3 are beasts. And get the monitor, if it clips turn it down.
