guscas
Hi. I saw the video a long time ago ... meade916 in youtube... infrasonic subwoofer flex to 7.3hz. bass sweep down to 7.3hz https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZSPVvhYzH4 And I have decided to do one but with a subwoofer alone and reach 10Hz, if it is at 8Hz better. What subwoofer models can you recommend that you can reach that frequency? For the box there would be 2 possibilities as I have read in the forum: 1) Closed box and a 21 -inch subwoofer. It would be easier to make but bigger. 2) T-Line with an 8-12 inches and here I have doubts. Do you have to design the box for the 10Hz or for the FS of the subwoofer? Thanks and regards. Joe X
That's a crazy project no doubt but anyways, if you want some kind of air movement (preferably inside a car) at those low frequencies do sealed or 4th order bandpass and a high cone area, high Xmax, high QTS subwoofer, also make sure that the bandwidth of your amplifier can go down to the frequency you are targeting. guscas
Hello again. I've been searching and I think the B2 RIOT10V2 D2 subwoofer can work for me: Frequency response: 10 - 500 Hz FS : 34.9Hz QTS: 0.578 XMAX (P2P): 36mm What do you think? Joe X
At 10Hz you cannot hear anything, just feel some air movement, sub needs to be gigantic with large Xmax so that you can feel some air movement: Crossfire XT3 18 is a possible candidate, 68mm xmax peak to peak and more than 3 times the cone area of a 10" subwoofer. http://www.crossfirecaraudio.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/12/XT3-Spec-Sheet.pdf
