The resin putty was supposed to be delivered to my house this morning, and the guy called and said he would do it after work. so... i finished the outside of the box construction, and made a slight change to the design.

i changed the front side of the top. the thin part of the design broke, so i just started cutting peices to make it the way i wanted it to look, and just came up with this

Hey man just a question....do ya have a router...if yes I have a trick that will save you a ton of time doing the cut and shit around the port...........looking good so far

i have a small one, but it didnt cut it too fast, so i just got the jigsaw and cut it out, and it cracked, so i just tore the bottom part out, and put in some 3-3/4" peices to make it look flush

Thats cool..next time if your router cooperates just lay the wood over the whole thing, drill a small pilot hole where the ports are and then just router out the ports, then go over them with a round over bit....but I'm guessing you already knew that..

i drilled a hole in the corners, and in the midpoints, to show where my marks are before i cut out the corners, assuming the hole saw would cut the paper like it did, then got a metal straight edge and a razor blade, and drew a line with it

It would make the box stronger, but glassing the inside should make it strong enough.

the sub holes are too small, i had to do a lot of dringing tonight, and they still dont fit. 13-3/4" is not enough for the subs, im at almost 14" now and its still rubbing.
