Ok, so this is probably going to sound like a stupid question to everybody...but a bus bar....is it just a metal bar for your grounds....or is there anything special you have to do to it or what? please help me out, ive been wondering about this for a while....is it just metal or something not so simple???

Conductivity in this order.

Steel Bar < Aluminum Bar < Copper Bar < Silver Bar
