Dd1 + help

Using the dd1 +. 

 I was able to find out my head unit is clean at max. (ra670), using tracks from website and Spotify, Bluetooth and usb cord. 

 

Question 1 

From the dd1+ 

Why did I see a range from 4.4-4.6 vrms when performing hu max distort on my JL 800/8amp and 17 vrms coming from my JL rd-1500 amp? 

 

I’m asking because I don’t believe I was able to set my sub amp correctly. I followed the directions. But I wasn’t able to adjust pass +9 overlap because the gain knob was all the way down at that point??? I wanted +7 over lap, either way  gain was fully down and the dd1+ read +9db while setting over lap. I noticed once I pressed read and then switched to the 40 overlap track the numbers on the dd1+ would start at +3db and climb to +15db on its own, like it was glitching, it did this a few times. I did not have this problem when setting my full range amplifier..for now I set the gains using the amps distort light and backed off till it disappeared. 

 

Yes I had frequencies all the way up, bass boost off, volume bass knob up 

 

 

And from head unit eqs off, tones flat, loud off, Volume limits up, sub level up.

If Im understanding you correct it sounds like you pressed the "read" button before switching to the 40hz overlap track, if you press read before the proper track (even if its the same freq) you will get a different outcome.
