mongo Posted December 26, 2024 Report Posted December 26, 2024 I have 4 12 inch subwoofers that I would like to build a c-pillar wall for in a 2006 honda odyssey. I'm new to wall builds and am hoping someone can offer me some advice on which type to build. I know how to tune area's/ ports, but my question is...Which enclosure style to use? 4th order, 6th order, bass reflex, etc... I'm looking at an everyday driver, not competition, so with that said... my cabin resonate frequency is about 53hz. I want to focus on spl rather than target frequency, but at the same time I'm very partial to frequencies between 25-35. However with a cabin frequency of 53 or about, I was thinking perhaps 6th order would be more beneficial as I could tune rear chamber to cab frequency, then tune front port to perhaps 30hz. Then again, a simple 4th order/reflex could focus more on increased spl at a specific tuned frequency. Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thank you!
