Jessica Posted March 31, 2025 Report Posted March 31, 2025 So I havent posted in ages and havent done a build in ages but spring is upon us and i am preparing to do another! Partial equipment list below. This will probably be slow build as i'm on a tight budget this time. Hope you enjoy. the car. I just picked this up, a 96 stratus with the v6. 100k miles and clean clean clean. Disclaimer, i know a certain owner has a certain rep around here but the amps where purchased before my knowledge of that and i am not interested in buying new amps when these are actually great amps. The build will consist of JVC headunit (model number escapes me) Skar 2500.1 @ .5 AA Mayhem 12 Skar 85.4 Singer 300 amp alt I havent decided on door speakers quite yet. I might have a pair of fosgate t 1675's that i can use. I'll update as things progress. Thanks for looking! Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Jessica Posted June 8, 2025 Author Report Posted June 8, 2025 for the time being im going to use this old enclosure i have laying around. I slapped it together in like 1 day or something so it is not pretty. It works well though. I took my flush trim bit to the rough edges and then used a roundover bit on all of them and the port exit. My local walmart has reduced its craft section to half an isle so i didnt have many options for the wrap. The largest bolt i could find was 44" wide so i had to kinda patch this together. Its not great but far better than when i started. Thank for lookin! I had my supervisor with me during this as well. Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. Jessica Posted June 11, 2025 Author Report Posted June 11, 2025 hey ya'll. anyone re-clocked an alternator? i hear this an be done if you dont pull it apart more than an 1/8th inch and spin the back to where ya want. Im asking because of this situation. ive never tried it but i am mechanically inclined, like ive done engine swaps and stuff so i'd be willing to try if i had good directions and knew what not to do. revoracing247 Posted June 12, 2025 Report Posted June 12, 2025 You're wanting the positive post terminal to be higher right? Looking at the photos you posted earlier of the alternator. it looks like the black plastic (and rear bits) and rear cast aluminum housing are somewhat keyed together. I'm not expert with Singer alternators, but I'd guess you aren't able to clock the post with keeping the rear housing in the same place too. Any chance Singer would respond asking them about it? Happy to see people post build logs. keep up the good work ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~
revoracing247 Posted June 12, 2025 Report Posted June 12, 2025 Actually maybe it's the shadow that makes the aluminum look like it's cut out to match the plastic. But still, the bolt pattern and bumps on the rear of the alternate aren't symmetric, so if it is clock-able, then it locks in place using friction somehow. if it's easy to take off the black plastic then it'd easier to see what exactly is going on. Sorry that's not much help lol ~ If it was easy, everybody would be doing it ~

Mike and i have been talking and the alt is going back and he is going to put it in the case for my car. This isnt Mikes fault it just one of those things you run into sometimes in car audio. He is paying return shipping and is gonna put the guts in the case for my car and make it right. He's a stand up guy and this is the 2nd alt ive bought from him. The other one is on a car and that alt has 80k miles on it and still works perfect. 10/10 would recommend to anyone especially if you a special fit or custom alt.
