this dont make sence, my mids and highs amp is a memphis pr 150.2, and is 2ohm stereo stable and thats what its wired down to, and has a built in fan and my sub amp is a memphis pr 1000d wired to 2ohm mono and it dont get warm and has a fan also, my sub amp and mids n highs amp are wired from same rear battery and are under my box were air flow can get to em, sub amp wired wit 0guage and mids n highs with 4guage and wired from the front wit 0guage, my voltage doesnt go below 13.x when playin it loud but when i start to go a lil bit louder it drops to 12.8 or 12.10 somethin like that but goes back to 13.x and wont go to 14.4 but this is also with a/c goin and with a stinger sp800 in the back, anyways if i put a stinger fan back there u think that will keep the mids n highs amp cool? i dont see why it dont stay cool its only turned 1/4 of the way up on the gain and it has a built in fan, anyways i was thinkin of gettin a stinger fan and put on the amp or one of the cross flow design fans to blow across it or maby get 2 of em one for sub amp 2, should be fine i think, i need to change my build thread cause ive changed alot of stuff in my sytem, i dont take build pics cause when i have time to build somethin its ona tight squedual sp, and not enulf time to do somethin, take pics, do somethin else take pics, i envy u guys that can do that shit and get it done so fast, anyways leave coments plz i need to do somethin cause i dont like my amps gettin hot and it aint gettin played hard, i had em on top of the box but moved em down below it (its a down fire box) onto the floor board to get em out of plain view and sunlight and just want em to stay cool in this hot weather, and can yall guys give some tips on how u keep ur amps cool? or is it not that big of a deal, i mean its not blistering hot its just rly warm, thaks for reading all of this

Your sub amp is Class D. Class D is inherently much more efficient and runs a lot cooler than other designs unless it's loaded down.

The mids/highs amp is probably Class A/B which is about 60% efficient, much of this loss of energy is lost in heat. Also you're comparatively loading it down compared to the sub amp - wire your sub amp to 0.5 ohms and if it doesn't go pop you'll find it warms up pretty quickly ;) (Note I am definitely not encouraging you to do this, it's just an example...)

Adding a fan outside the heatsink should cool things down a lot. Convection based cooling works a lot better when it's forced :)
