I owned one and never put power to it.. ever. They produce 4400 at 18.v.. get an HK4000D. Its the best amp they make.. MA audio isnt like great stuff but the 4000D has a good board in it. I didnt do that much research on the 4400.. I've heard a 4000D on some alpine and it beat pretty hard. I have 4 of the HK4000D's on the floor in my room right now but I cant hook em up yet...need a new speaker to run all 4. Plus like 12 more batteries to have a stable voltage. All mine are modded, no protect mode and just run wide open. If the voltage drops they'll burn. They can run 12v but those MA's drink the power up.. the grand prix with the HK4000D had 1 medium kinetik and three of the smaller ones and a HO alternator. Good luck.

I forgot about the 1 ohm part lol.. mine run at .7 ohms

The 4000D is a much better amp, and I still wouldn't run one myself... (4 of them with the protection ripped out for pure burps is another matter...) 10.x volts fo' life!
