bumpincruiser
ok so i am putting in a new HU and sub and amp into my 06 civic lx sedan and it sounds really complicated. sounds like i have to get a new mount to fit my HU and a stock amp bypass to let the HU power my components? i think i am going to get this kit for the HU http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HA1561DGB-G...0242307826& please take a look at this thread over at 8th gen civics and let me know what i need it was not this hard to install in my 98 tacoma http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/audio/34409...-have-time.html thanks! sean 371
It's not that bad...I've done a few of those. Takes about a half hour to disassemble, swap over all the little pieces, and then reassemble. As far as the bypass...You can either run all new wires, or run speaker wires from your h/u to to amp, and just tap into the wires there. ChevyBoy
dont worry about a bypass. i just did this to my 08 a few weeks ago. plays no problem with an avic-d3 hooked up. the only thing i dont like about that kit on ebay (same one i bought), it that the color doesnt match perfectly. and you can see the spots where its assembled from the front. hard to explain. but it doesnt take that long at all. just take your time. ChevyBoy
i call it the bezel. its the piece of dash that you replace, like the piece in that ebay kit. you can order everything from honda, but the trim ring. i seen on 8thcivic that you can contact scoshe and they can sell you the trim ring separately. ChevyBoy
sorry that it took so long man, but i just remember when i was washing it. heres some pix. looks worse in person. and you can see towards the upper right hand corner of the dash bezel, that it kinda "sags" a little.
