Decaf
not as good because the sub isnt in the volume of the box, its more like in the exit to port area so it wont utilize the airspace the same
Boon
You would have a lot of 'dead air' in the box if you put the sub in the opposite corner to the port exit. Then again if it wasn't an L-shaped port you would WANT the sub in the opposite corner from the port Quote 10.x volts fo' life!
javy101
OK WELL I THINK I WANT IT IN THE OPPOSITE CORNER SO WHAT WOULD MY PORT NEED TO BE WITHOUT THE L SHAPE IN IT. I HAVE ALREADY DONE A BOX ON THE RE L SHAPED CALCULATOR AND MADE ONE WITHOUT THE L SHAPED PORT. I CANT GET MY IMAGE SHACK TO UPLOAD MY SCREEN OF THE BOX I MADE SO I WILL GIVE YOU THE URL TO THE SITE ALL YOU GOT TO DO IS INSERT LIKE 4 NUMBERS AND RECREATE THE BOX. HERE IS THE URL http://www.reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html AND THEN THE BOX WIDTH = 40 BOX Height = 21 box top depth = 22 box bottom depth = 22 wood thickness = .75 sqaure port width = 5 square port length 2 = 0 coming out to 32.7128738090907 tuning. Are these numbers good for the dimensions of the box and port. Are these numbers accru
