Steves Navigator Install

Hey yall this is my first post here, but im pretty active at caraudio.com, and f150online.com.

My question is in Steves Navigator install he did back in 06, he had the plexi front, with Lincoln etched in it, and light up with a led strip.

I want to be as similar as I can for my f150 supercab (04 New Body Style). The box will be under my rear seat, which will be lifted about 2.5 inches or so. I want pretty much the same setup (ya i know im an unoriginal douche) but I cant figure out the best way to mount the Plexi with the MDF. What I mean here is should I have the Plexi sit deeper into the box so that the LED's would sit directly under the glass, or how should I mount the Plexi to get that effect hes got?

If I am not providing enough information then please tell me.

On the first pic is the front of the box designed like this? Both boxes are complete rectangles, I dont know why it cut of the right side of one.

And I cant tell how the led's are with the glass, Are the cut into the top and placed in? are they just under neath? I cant tell and I havent done anything like this but I wanna try and go big.

they are in the plexi.

what he did is cut a groove in the plexi just deep enough for the led strip to sit in

its a 2 piece frame the back piece is cut with the smaller opening so you can see through it and mountthe plexi to it the nect piece goes allthe way around the plexi, and then the trim panel over the top .

anyone know which led strip he used, or which I should use? I want a nice uniform light and my window will be 48 inches wide? Im on oznium now and honestly I dont know the difference between different sets and how 1 would be better for my design then the other. So basically im asking for a spoon feed here!
