Sub casing coming apart

well i have a problem now that is starting to scare me a little

the plastic-fake-wood casing is starting to come apart, aka the glue is coming off around the edges where the 2 pieces are put together (pic included)

i need some help because this was a Christmas present and it was $400 from my aunt and dad (sister-brother)

seriously guys, i need some help, when i play some bass, i can feel the creases moving/splitting apart

(anything i labeled in red is where the stock creases are)

Simply put...it's a bad box. You're not at fault for it coming apart, unless you dropped it a few times. The bass beat it apart, it happens.

but i should make a new wooden box painted black soon, but i suck at electrical

but tips on how to get it open?

That's a regular house stereo speaker box right??? If you wanna build a new one cause your current one is broken/breaking, just finish breaking it open.

yea, if you go to aiwa's home site and look up "AIWA BMZ-K2" you'll find my stereo

im sorta scared about opening it because if i open it too hard, the wires could snap from the subs, then ill be screwed

The wires won't be hardwired straight to the speakers. There will be space for the wires to hang just like in a sub box.

so you mean that there will be some slack on the cables? sweet
