Enclosure Help W/2 15inch Ma Audio Xl Series

well i need some help with an enclosure i have two ma audio 15 inch xl series subs and i'm using a ma hk1398 amp to push them. i have box that is sealed it's 2.45 per side after displacement and it sounds like shit so i contacted ma and he said to make a box 7 cubes with the port area 27 per sub and it would be tuned @ 40 hz i would like to go tuned lower but he said he likes it @ 40 hz and he blew off and told me he had to go so i'm just trying to get the most out of these subs i know its not the best of stuff but it was all free 2 15's 2 amps and a stringer cap

i know i would like it to be around30- 32 hz but how do i figure that out i mean what should the the air space be area of the port hole and how deep to make the port

It has ported tuning at 35hz with 3 ports or a slot port.

is 35hz common box tuning for (rap music) like young jezzy, lil wayne, etc

Talk to Jon at Epicenter Designs, he is on here under that screen name, and he works out of bradenton, FL...so he's local to you.

EDIT: I prefer a little lower tuning than 35 Hz. But I like the low lows alot, and 35 Hz just doesn't do it for me. I would suggest something like 32 Hz.
