  1. I was wondering when the Civic was gonna be getting some attention. I saw that you're still running a single cam engine under the hood, have you thought about upgrading to a dual cam engine?
  2. Yeah the mic levels of the gopros are "auto" and will adjust automatically. Mainly what I'd look for in the video is how it handled lighting since they significantly improved it's low light performance. Also, how the framerate allows the camera to capture woofer movement. Everything else like audio quality or even editing like HDR the video (balancing low light with bright light for an evenly "lit" video) can be improved in post or with added gear. I think they have a mic input of which you could use something like a Zoom H4n Field Recorder. Also, give the Black Edition a try shooting in 4k mode and not 1080 and see what you think of that.
  3. That is a sick subwoofer! Was curious about the measured surface area if it was a true 15" and not middle of surround to middle of surround, and about db loss from it, but that was already answered. My next question may be hypothetical, but do you think future speakers would reach a point where having too much linear excursion would distort the sound since the cone would have to travel a greater distance to replicate the sound, and may not be able to move as fast as the sound wave being sent to the speaker? Also, would there be any custom prospects for a 21" version of the subwoofer? I've been talking with a few local guys into using car audio based subwoofers for club/portable pa use over traditional pa systems.
  4. Blue G35, Yellow Lotus Exige, 2 Silver Nissan Skyline R35's, one with a Gopro Camera on Back glass, and a what appears to be a third Skyline that is black (yellow brakes are stock). And camera car is a silver skyline.
  5. I think what it is, is the temptation one has when following a "friend" or another car enthusiast. And, they felt compelled to show their driving skills or car's performance any chance they get. And when the opposing car takes off they feel like that's their chance to challenge them. But, such is the result when one doesn't know the back roads, or that there's a roundabout coming up. From the video it seems that he got airborne, loss traction when he landed and tires got loose, but managed to keep the car going straight as he was breaking to a stop. I suspect that they are alright, but i could be wrong.
  6. Got an idea for you - 4 21-in subwoofers mounted to a walled t-line. each pair facing opposite each other and are mounted in the line. The front of subwoofers fire into the line which goes to the back of the van, then comes around and goes towards the front. From the cabin you'd see 2 tall vertical ports with the backs of the woofers mounted within them(exposed). Each pair is in it's own t-line. The facing of the wall can be for woofers, midbass and highs.
  7. Actually, it'd be perfect for home studios that are needing power but deal with tight spaces.
  8. Will Sundown be considering building a 4" or 6.5" woofer based on their zv.3 concept?
  9. The following is a link to my log of videos I shot of a thunderstorm that passed through Little Rock, Arkansas this morning. The camera used was a Nikon D5100 with the Zoom H4n Professional Field Recorder. Let me know how it sounds on some of your theater or vehicle setups (those of you with internet access in cars) - http://www.youtube.c...1D&feature=plcp Example video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nrhqRPNOj9w&hd=1
  10. Mad props to both competitors in their own right. Love the fact that there's a 4th order wall in a Caprice Classic, and not some trunk rattler. But i'd have to say as soon as Hellboy cranked his, it was over, too clean and loud too.
  11. I got a couple! Got my friend Anaas sitting in the hot seat, while Astrolade plays one of my tracks - Rocktown SPL "Sloo": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzgbUDkBeyI And the Black Nasty giving a demo and the girl jumps on the hit - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5BcRI1s1mfY&t=7s
