moose Posted August 28, 2008 Report Share Posted August 28, 2008 ok, so at school today a friend of mine gets to me and says that his stuff keeps cuttin out, and has no idea whats goin on, so i figure easy fix you know loose wire something came unplugged or something of that sort....so after football i swung by to take a look....and i have to admit i am stumped. the head unit is an alpine 9845 and when on volume 1-6 its ok, but on anything higher or if played that low for a while the mids/highs amp goes into protect. the amp is an alpine mrp-f650....i have checked everthing i can think of, remotes, ground, power, everything is nice and tight....and i know im missing something, and probably something stupid..... but i need some help! please and thank you Moose Quote J.A.M AUDIO Owner North Texas Authorized DC Sound Lab Dealers Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

RamenNoodles Posted August 28, 2008 Report Share Posted August 28, 2008 blown speakers? Amp may be cutting out because the speakers cannot take the power. Amps do that to subwoofers sometimes. if a subwoofer is blow you can play it a little then the amp will go into protect.
