ok, so at school today a friend of mine gets to me and says that his stuff keeps cuttin out, and has no idea whats goin on, so i figure easy fix you know loose wire something came unplugged or something of that sort....so after football i swung by to take a look....and i have to admit i am stumped. the head unit is an alpine 9845 and when on volume 1-6 its ok, but on anything higher or if played that low for a while the mids/highs amp goes into protect. the amp is an alpine mrp-f650....i have checked everthing i can think of, remotes, ground, power, everything is nice and tight....and i know im missing something, and probably something stupid..... but i need some help! please and thank you

Well if u have checked the ground from the ground wire to body/chassis then it could be a bad amp, I cant think of anything else that would make it cut out like that unless its getting really hot really fast, or theres speaker wires touching somewhere, or if everything is cutting out it could be a bad radio, still doesnt explain only one amp going into protect though, so IDK

hey guys, thanks for all the help, and i figured the problem out.....checked the voltage and a HUGE drop....and everytime it would drop that low it would send the amp into protect......solved that problem though....but again thanks everybody for your input!!
