Re Mt 18" Or Fi Btl 18"

i have a soundstream xxx 10000d to power this subs... 2 18" is what i really like...

i listen to hiphop and trance music... what you think would be the loudest of the two?

BTL would be more musical than the MT.

I have heard about more than a few people getting drop in gains going from MT's to BTL's, so im thinking BTL's. X2 on more musical, and im going on record saying there is no chance in hell of a HDC3 taking 3k+ rms daily. maybe if you only want to turn them up for 30 sec. at a time, but i wouldn't even consider those subs. You are talking about a vette, a cobra, and a honda.

I have heard more than a few setups with both subs, and the MT is no where near as musical as a BTL at least IMO.

The MT is probably going to be louder than the BTL on the higher bass, but the BTL will be louder on the lows. Either sub is a good choice, but i like the BTL better for a daily use sub

my MT hammers lows alot like my BTL did

The BTL has more musical range personally. Also the gaps are larger and have a little more motor strength too( new BTL). We don't see BTL's lock up in the gap from heat. MT is more one note style , and may peek harder at higher tunning tones. Really depends on your goal. But either way Scott @ FI designed both of them and I don't think he would build a sub of lesser stature for his personal company!

i have mt's and btls, but mt hit as low as the btls do, but btls are going louder same power same box ofcourse different specs but anyway bought are very good
