whoa whoa sorry i just got home ok well if you have a wireless b card it doesnt really matter... lol how many pcs do you have on the network? if its just 1 or 2 your wireless b is perfect it wont be any faster if you upgrade to G at all unless you have more than 2 pcs on your network

as for your ip address your right dont post that in here... take your WIRELESS ROUTERS ip address copy it so its on your clipboard then open up your internet browser (ie,firefox whatever you use) paste that in there then hit enter

usually a log in /password box comes up. type in admin for name and admin for pass (you can change it later once you get in) then youll have full access to your security settings. turn on WEP protection or you can set it up so that it will only accept the mac address that is using your network right now (you can see whos using you network currently thru this) but it will pop up names of your computer (the name that you set it up with in the beginning for example like John's Computer... etc etc etc im sure youll figure it out from there cause every router has different menu setups

God, I hate linksys. Netgear makes better routers IMO.

i have both lol i made my linksys so security protected that i cant even get into it... it fucking blocked the creator even if i direct connect to the router with a wire and try to set it up... pisses me the fuck off... my netgear router is soooo much better and its the size of a deck of cards haha its small than a cd and it works amazingly

lol i have no idea what the random generated key is... its so retarded it blocked me out of it and i cant completely reset and start over...

im sure i can figure it out but my netgear works perfectly so i have no need to its just serving me as a router for now

anyway coolwazabi sorry to  :hj:  but tell me if that works if not then i dunno if it has to option to offer security might have to get a new router
