I looking for a more weathered input on what would be a good box size for a RE Audio SX12D2 being ran by a US Amp XT4000D running at 1 Ohm so thats 1500W RMS by the spec sheet.

I am actually running 2 - SX12D2 and 2 - XT4000D's each at 1 Ohm. The idea is to do a cut through with the subs flush facing into the cab of my pickup (Regular Cab) with a port to the out side of the subs ex. [] O | O []. Just looking for air space and Hz really as the dimensions will be built to suit the cab wall. Any help would be awesome, and I am not changing the set up unless I win the lottery and buy a pair of XXX's LOL!!

Thanks in advance,

Justin

P.S. Maybe i'll get some insight with a darker font color, lmao.... just playin :P

Strange... no replies... Anyone able to recommend a good volume per sub? I had thought between 2 and 4 cubes would be plenty per sub... any input would be cool if not thanks anyway.

Wow that's been a while!

I'll see if I can get hold of a friend of mine that runs 2 SX12's off 2000w each. His gets pretty loud. I think it's around 4 cubes with 1 6" aeroport in between the subs.

For you I would recommend 2.25 cubes per sub with a single 6" aeroport in the middle. Tune it around 32/33/34 and it should go good :)

Thanks for the reply... was planning a slot port if possible... each sub is going to be run independent power supply (example: XT4000D on each SX12D2 running at 1Ohm) But any ideas are greatly appreciated.

Are you wanting to flush mount the subs to the back wall just like cut 2 holes and build the box in the bed or are you wanting to cut out like a sqaure. Either way if you want it to look fancy you could always spend the extra cash on some aero ports and plexi, unless uw anna go all out with like 10 of those subs haha

LOL No I just going with two, it's plenty for me and my small a$$ truck :P. AS for the box yes I am looking to cut a whole and slide the box flush into the wall, I used RE's box builder for the current box, and was hoping to build another similar to that except longer and not a shared air space. The hole size in the back wall is going to be approximately 13" T x 40-42" W so i can accommodate the subs and possibly down the road switch to 12" XXX's or similar without having to rebuild :P
