2000s10 Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Im looking to get a exhaust for my truck. its a 2000 s-10 with the 2.2. does anybody kno wat size the factory exhaust pipe is. and if there any cheap exhaust out there that would sound good ... thanks Quote
BackYardSoundZ Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 Its probably 2-1/4, i wouldnt waste any money on a cat back, pick out a high flow cat if you even want a cat, and then pick a style muffler that youll like. My opinion is to go with a high flow cat and a turbo style muffler, that will give you a real smooth deep tone unlike chambered or glasspacks. Quote
01xtreme Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 you can go with pretty much any muffler and it will sound better than factory, but you have a 2.2L and they never really sound that good. Quote My System: Pioneer AVH-P3200BT 4-Dayton 7 inch reference series (front doors) 8-Onkyo 3/4 inch tweeters (dash) 1-Sundown Audio 100.4D (mids/highs) 2-18" BTL's (for now) Crescendo 3kwp (for sale) Complete rebuild coming soon...
reinke Posted September 5, 2008 Report Posted September 5, 2008 and if you have the money do the cavalier intake swap as well. it will make a drastic improvement in sound and performance. Quote ----reference's---- meade916
01 S-10 Posted September 6, 2008 Report Posted September 6, 2008 I have the 2.2 also. I believe factory is 2 inch. Mine has 2.25 inch with a magnaflow muffler, pretty deep sound without being a ricer Quote TDH FTW !!!
