Need More Help Understanding Crossovers

i heard ppl saying that they have there mids cross at 100hertz to 3000hz.i want to know how they make them stop at 3000hz and not play higher notes

Well you could do it the easy way and get a 3sixty or something like that.... but if you are talking passive, then you need a coil and a capacitor. Depending on what dB a you want and what hertz you want will determine what coil and cap you may use.
