MXmike800
i have an older jbl gto 1200.1 not new model last one before are jbl amps overrated or underrated? just curious cause i have it on 3 type r 12 (4) ohm wired to 1 ohm at the amp. and after A little pounding not at full tilt my dustcap will heat up and i smell a little glue burning. They are supposed to be rated at 500 rms per and at 1500 max. Jbl says the amp pushes 1347w at 2 ohm. Cant find anything about what it should be pushing at 1 ohm and help is appreciated. Should my speakers be smelling? They are all brand new. Is this breaking in or should i be worried? thanks mike Edited October 1, 2008 by mxmike800
