kentb Posted October 3, 2008 Report Posted October 3, 2008 i borrowed a schumacher battery charger that can can do 10 or 20 amp fast charge 2 amp slow charge 75 amp engine start. it says its compatible with agm batteries. can i charge my kinetik battery under the hood even though its wired parallel to the back batteries? (4 batts in total) and it says on the manual that i must connect positive to positive post and negative to the vehicles ground. the cable is too short for it to reach the frame. can't i just connect it to the negative terminal? my negative terminal is grounded to the frame of the vehicle with 0 gauge wire. thanks for the help! wasted ink Posted October 4, 2008 Report Posted October 4, 2008 yup, a ground is a ground. if possible, i would put the least amount of charge on for a longer period of time, instead of pushing alot, quickly. its better for the battery in the long run..
