Stephen Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 First i know a lot of people on here already know this but it might help someone. took some pics in class today of a small amp i made this is a nice clean output signal. they when you turn your gain up to high you start to flatten off the peaks of your wave. looks like this here is a pic of the circuit And here is a video going from no clipping to extreme clipping and back. I am just turning up the input voltage on the amp. you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. dr.db Posted October 9, 2008 Report Posted October 9, 2008 Nice little vid..what were the ranges for gain...and at what point were you creating distortion?
Stephen Posted October 9, 2008 Author Report Posted October 9, 2008 oo i dont remember I know i was feeding a 1khz wave i think input voltage was .4v and i could get the output to about 10.8v before distortion. i may be wrong i forgot all the #'s. The amp was getting a steady 12.05 in though you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be. DC POWER
