(2) 15" Btl's In A Suburban

Recommended Posts

I am looking at a 2001 Chevy Suburban, I want to do (2) 15" Fi Audio BTL's in a ported box but I can't lose the third seat, is this possible?

Would you be able to get some measurements of the biggest are you have? You will have to factor more in than just the box. With 2 BTLs you will need some juice to push them and juice aint small. TO sufficiently push those you will need one BIG amp or 2 Medium sized amps. One 5-6k rms amp or 2 2500-3500 rms or so. Amps with that much power arent exactly small in most cases. Those amps will need power behind them and enough power in batteries isnt exactly small either. You are looking at at least 2 BIG batteries if not one or two more.

I was just watching a vid on here and he had to of the BL's but it seemed like he didn't have the room if he had the 3rd seat

I was looking into (2) of the Sundown SAZ-3000Ds, I figured a 250 amp alternator and 2 batteries should be enough

two sundown 3000s will be perfect for them. They need anywhere from 3-5 cubes as im sure you know. A larger alt would be a little nicer for charging. Like a 300-350 but a 250 would work alright. You might want to look into 3-4 HC2400s/ PM 3100s and not just two.

With a Suburban I could do a dual alternator (unless they make a 300 amp) I'm just curious about the space issue with the box and the batteries. Anyone know of a setup on here where they kept the 3rd row seats?
